What Is Breathwork And Why Do You Need It?

Happy Thursday!

I used to think breathwork was just another wellness trend—something people did in yoga classes or meditation retreats, but not something that had a real, tangible effect on daily life. Then I started paying attention.

I noticed how, when I was stressed, my breath became shallow, fast, almost nonexistent. How, when I was fully present, it was deep, slow, and steady. How, in moments of exhaustion or frustration, it felt like I wasn’t breathing at all.

Once Alex became a certified breathwork facilitator, I saw firsthand how one breathwork journey could change someone’s life. He spent years struggling with asthma, dependent on inhalers, until he learned how to use his breath intentionally. Not just to calm down, but to heal. To strengthen his lungs. To rewire his nervous system.

Breathwork is not just about oxygen. It is the remote control to your nervous system. It’s the one tool that is always available, always free, and yet, we barely use it to its full potential.

In today’s UNREACHABLE podcast episode, we’re breaking down what breathwork really is, why it matters, and how you can use it to shift your energy in an instant.

If you’ve ever felt anxious, overstimulated, exhausted, or disconnected from yourself, this episode is for you. Because your breath is the fastest way back to presence. Back to clarity. Back to you.

At the end of this episode (and every episode), we’re giving you a free breathwork protocol—a simple practice you can do anytime you need to reset. I hope you’ll try it. If you want to go deeper, feel free to book a virtual or in-person one-on-one journey with Alex.

Here’s to breathing a little deeper today.
